FAQs
What is imposter syndrome, and how can you help me overcome it?
Imposter syndrome is the persistent feeling that you're not qualified for your role, despite evidence of your competence. Having experienced this myself after promotions, I help clients identify their actual strengths, challenge negative self-talk, and develop confidence in their professional abilities through practical exercises and mindset shifts.
I've been laid off multiple times. How do you understand my situation?
I've been fired or laid off three times myself, so I understand the shame, financial stress, and identity crisis that comes with job loss. We'll work together to process these experiences, identify patterns, and create strategies to build a more resilient career path moving forward.
What does "quietly quitting" mean, and how can coaching help?
Quietly quitting is when you've mentally checked out at work but haven't formally quit. You do the minimum required while feeling disconnected from your company's goals. Through our sessions, we'll explore what's driving this disengagement and create a plan to either re-engage meaningfully or transition to a role that aligns with your values.
How is career coaching different from just talking to friends or family about work problems?
Unlike friends or family, I provide a confidential, judgment-free space specifically designed for professional growth. I bring both personal experience and professional training to help you see blind spots, challenge limiting beliefs, and create actionable plans for career advancement.
What if I don't know what career I actually want?
That's exactly what we'll figure out together. Through assessments, exploring your values, and examining what energizes versus drains you, we'll create clarity around the career path that fits your authentic self rather than just what you think you "should" want.
How long does career coaching typically take to see results?
Many clients experience clarity and renewed motivation within the first few sessions. However, meaningful career transitions and lasting confidence building typically develop over 3-6 months of consistent work together.
